ALATURCA CONNECTION
Alaturca Connection is a San Francisco based Turkish music band formed by the area's widely acclaimed musicians. Each of the members comes from a different ethnical background and brings musical depth and years of experience in playing a broad repertoire of classical, folkloric and contemporary Turkish, Balkan and Romani songs. The sound is a bridge between modern and traditional.
They perform regularly at community events, weddings, parties, and shows at various San Francisco venues.
The band has been an active supporter of social projects. Through their annual signature event "Gelecege Sarkilar (Songs for the Future)", they raise funds to support underprivileged girls' education in Turkiye.
